Background
Growing up in cairns has made me a happy, fun loving person and given me a thirst to learn more. After completing year 12 I moved to Melbourne to increase my knowledge. Past experiences, which have been most interesting have all pointed me towards the fields of costume and entertainment. Hence, landing me at the costume designing course at Swinburne University.
Inspirations
My female character has been inspired by the swamp dwelling/witch doctor from pirates of the Caribbean. She has unique crazy gypsy feel about her and wears lots of raw natural materials. My male character is a sole traveller/land pirate. He is quite mysterious, he has created his clothing with the things has found over the years he spent roaming the forests.
Future aspirations
Ideally I would like to create interesting intricate costumes for all types of entertainment and dabbling in a variety of different fields, with in the costume industry. Hopefully establishing a career that allows me to travel overseas and to the world’s most interesting places.
